🗣️
Hungarian and Finnish are almost completely unrelated to most other European languages. While nearly all other major European languages — English, French, German, Russian, Greek — belong to the Indo-European family, Hungarian and Finnish belong to the Finno-Ugric family. This makes them exceptionally challenging for most Europeans to learn and means their vocabulary shares almost nothing with their neighbors.
