The ice cream cone was reportedly invented at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis when an ice cream vendor ran out of dishes. A nearby waffle vendor rolled his waffles into cones, and the combination was an instant hit.

Hummus β the creamy chickpea and tahini dip β has been eaten in the Middle East for thousands of years. The word 'hummus' simply means 'chickpeas' in Arabic, and it is one of the oldest continuously made foods still eaten today.
